This table shows our percentage of compliance with every patient care standard being measured.  A score of 91% means we were compliant with patient care best practices 91% of the time.

Aspirin at arrival
Aspirin can help keep blood clots from forming and dissolve blood clots that can cause heart attacks.

  • This measure shows the percent of heart attack patients who were given (or took) aspirin within 24 hours of arrival at the hospital

 Aspirin prescribed at discharge
Taking aspirin may help prevent further heart attacks.

  • This measure shows the percent of heart attack patients who are prescribed aspirin at discharge.

ACE inhibitor for LVSD
ACE inhibitors and are medicines used to treat decreased heart function, heart attacks or heart failure.  

LVSD stands for left ventricular systolic dysfunction. When the heart’s left ventrical does not function properly, the risk for additional heart attacks increases.

  • This measure shows the percent of heart attack patients who are prescribed ACE inhibitors at discharge.

Adult smoking cessation advice/ counseling
Smoking is linked to heart attacks. Quitting may help prevent another heart attack.

  • This measure shows the percent of heart attack patients with a history of smoking cigarettes, who are given smoking cessation advice or counseling during a hospital stay.

Beta blocker prescribed at discharge
Beta blockers are a type of medicine used to lower blood pressure, treat chest pain and heart failure, and to help prevent a heart attack.

  • This measure shows the percent of heart attack patients who are prescribed a beta blocker at discharge.

Beta blocker at arrival
Beta blockers are a type of medicine used to lower blood pressure, treat chest pain and heart failure, and to help prevent a heart attack.

  • This measure shows the percent of heart attack patients who were given (or took) a beta blocker within 24 hours of arrival at the hospital

 Thrombolytic agent within 30 min of arrival
Blood clots can cause heart attacks. Doctors may give this medicine or perform a procedure to open the blockage. In some cases, they do both.

  • This measure shows the percent of heart attack patients who received thrombolytic therapy during the hospital stay and having a time from hospital arrival to thrombolysis of 30 minutes or less.
