Northern Kentucky residents can get expert emergency medical care close to home at The St. Luke Hospitals. St. Luke East in Fort Thomas and St. Luke West in Florence are full-service emergency facilities that offer services such as the Rapid Diagnostic Treatment Center and a decontamination room for treatment of patients involved in chemical spills or who have highly infectious diseases.

The St. Luke Hospitals also offer a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) program to provide comprehensive care for sexual assault survivors. In addition to providing the necessary medical care for survivors, the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner is also trained to conduct a forensic examination, collect evidence and testify as an expert witness.

Expansions

To better serve our patients, St. Luke East has expanded the emergency department, providing new registration and triage areas. Other developments include six additional exam rooms, an expanded minor trauma area, a renovated lobby with a family consultation area, as well as expanded monitoring capabilities using the latest technology.
