About the Benefits and Compensation of Our Program
St. Elizabeth values highly your years of preparation. Likewise, we realize that you’re now ready to assume a high degree of responsibility, and expect to be compensated accordingly.
Our residents receive the following:
- Family Medicine Residency at a fully accredited hospital
- Stipend (salaries listed are for academic year 2009-2010 and are adjusted annually)
- First year residents: $47,500
- Second year residents: $49,000
- Third year residents: $50,500
- Free meals and a weekly dinner for your family
- Ample moonlighting available in-house to Second- and Third-year residents
- Palm Pilots, or equivalent for handheld software
- Paid CME attendance at medical meetings up to $900 in the first year, $1,000 in the second year, and $1,100 in the third year
- Moving allowance of $500
- Vacation PGY 1: Three weeks/ PGY 2 & 3: Four weeks
- Entertainment expenses of $200
- Clothing allowance: $100 plus three white lab coats in PGY 1 and $100 in PGY 2 & 3
- Cincinnati Reds baseball season tickets shared among residents
- Cincinnati Bengals football season tickets shared among residents
- Free medical and dental insurance
- Long-term disability insurance
- Term life insurance policy equal to your salary

- Fees paid to professional organizations
