When your physician orders outpatient laboratory work, you can go to the outpatient laboratory at any of the locations listed where blood or other samples can be collected. Your physician should give you an outpatient laboratory order form that will include the name of the test(s) ordered, diagnosis codes/information and the doctor’s signature. This information is required before blood samples for laboratory tests can be obtained.
Our laboratory offers comprehensive testing in anatomical pathology, histology, blood bank, chemistry, cytology, hematology, microbiology, molecular, toxicology, immunology, urinalysis, and coagulation. Specimens may also be processed and transported to our primary reference laboratory.
The Department of Laboratory Medicine is accredited by the College of American Pathologists, The Joint Commission, and The State of Kentucky.
