In Case of Emergency

We do understand that emergencies can't be scheduled, and sometimes your child needs to see a doctor right away. The emergency departments of The St. Luke Hospitals are equipped to manage critical pediatric situations. Physicians and nurses certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are available in the emergency departments around-the-clock to care for critically ill or injured children.

All St. Luke emergency physicians are residency-trained and board-certified or eligible in emergency medicine.

The pediatric departments, post anesthesia care units (recovery room), and other appropriate departments are also staffed by PALS-certified physicians and nurses.

The St. Luke Pediatric Centers have been accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
