Exciting Changes Taking Place at St. Elizabeth Florence and Edgewood Hospitals!
St. Elizabeth Healthcare has completed the expansion and renovation of the Family Birth Place in Edgewood. The unit has been enhanced to feature 33 newly renovated state-of-the-art Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum suites. Also, the Family Birth Place has added a six bed recovery unit, six private triage rooms, four surgical suites and an eight bed prenatal area.
As part of this expansion, the St. Elizabeth Florence Birthing Center has consolidated its assets into Edgewood, allowing parents and newborns to experience comprehensive care and the latest medical technologies and amenities that are available.
Public tours of the enhanced St. Elizabeth Edgewood Family Birth Place are offered one Sunday each month. To register for a tour, call (859) 301-BABY (2229).
