Volunteer opportunities

Serving Northern Kentucky since 1954, The St. Luke Hospitals are committed to meeting the expanding health care needs of the Northern Kentucky community. St. Luke Hospital East is located in Fort Thomas and St. Luke Hospital West is located in Florence. Both hospitals offer a positive work atmosphere and social environment for volunteers.

VolunTeen program

The St. Luke Hospitals also offer a VolunTeen program, which gives teenagers 14 to 18 years of age the opportunity to gain valuable job experience and the opportunity to apply for St. Luke Auxiliary college scholarships.

More about volunteering

Volunteers are needed in nearly every hospital department. Whether it is answering the phones, delivering flowers or escorting a patient, your effort helps us meet our mission of providing compassionate and professional health care to Northern Kentucky communities.

Because of major changes in health care delivery, the need for volunteers is greater than ever. Being a volunteer at one of our hospitals makes you a crucial player on the hospital team.

After receiving your application, you will be interviewed to determine your preferences, abilities and any physical limitations. Then you will be matched with the hospital's vacant volunteer positions. Applicants who are accepted are required to participate in an orientation program. The program includes films and presentations by members of the hospital staff and a general orientation to the hospital.
