Teen Volunteers
Teens are an important part of the Volunteer Team at St. Elizabeth Healthcare. Our Teen Volunteer Program is an excellent way for young people to become acquainted with healthcare and learn whether this field could be a future career interest. Here are some important details about becoming a teen volunteer:
Teen volunteers must meet the following criteria:
- Be between 14 years old and a senior in high school
- Have parent/guardian approval
- Have appropriate and reliable transportation
- Have the time to commit to 3-4 hours of service once a week
- Purchase ($10) and wear a uniform- fee waiver available
- Maintain a clean uniform and neat appearance
- Have an interest in being in a medical environment, learning new skills and serving others
- Attend Mandatory Training
- Teen Information Night Meeting - Optional Parent Session Offered
- Medical Center Orientation and Training Modules
- Optional Nursing Area Training
April 1st and August 1st.
Teens are received as volunteers twice a year. Please call on April 1st to begin in early June or August 1st to begin in September or later in the school year.
